From a young age, the thought of being able to make someone smile with a bite has compelled Corey. Throughout her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, she was frequently asked to cater events for friends and family. After graduation, she chose to follow her culinary passion and was formally trained at Johnson and Wales University. Since then she has cooked at the prestigious Grove Park Inn until she branched out on her own in 2013. Working in the food and beverage industry for over 15 years, Corey realizes the only thing rivaling her love of creating mouthwatering meals, is the joy it brings to her customers who eat them.
As Owner and Chef of Catering by Corey, and a wife and mother of two small children, Corey understands the value of quality ingredients and superior customer service. Catering by Corey sources their ingredients from local farms and artisans and delivers exceptional family style meals.
